Cubs activate Soto send down Hoffpauir

Just a few minutes ago, at about 5:50 Chicago time, the Cubs announced they've activated Soto and sent infielder-outfielder Micah Hoffpauir to Class AAA Iowa. No doubt the Cubs want to keep Sam Fuld as a defensive replacement in the big yard at Coors Field.

Is anyone else watching the Cardinals game right now? A fan is being carted off on a stretcher; he was sitting in the first row and tried to reach over for a foul ball, but lost his balance and landed on his forehead, and really torqued his neck pretty bad.

Yeah, it was a foul ball down the 1st base line, just past the dugout. Gut was sitting in the front row, leaned over to try to get it, lost his balance and landed right on his forehead.

Probably a 10-12 minute delay while the medics came out and got him strapped up and out of there. He did give the thumps up while he was getting wheeled off, so I'll go ahead and say now that he was wearing Cardinals gear.

If the Cubs can make the playoffs and make a deep run it would be contrary to anything in my lifetime. The amount of injuries and crappinies this year have been unreal.
