Wrigley Beer Thrower Got Away

Re: Wrigley Beer Thrower Got Away
I hate people that do this, it's totally classless.

Re: Wrigley Beer Thrower Got Away
I was watching live last night and noticed this too. Hilarious.

wow, how do you get the wrong guy?

Re: Wrigley Beer Thrower Got Away
That's some expensive beer to throw away. That's like throwing a ten dollar bill down onto the field.

Ibanez even pointed up in the stands.
But somebody in security should've been on the video much faster. As I posted last night, as they were pulling the wrong guy out, the guilty arse was there pointing at him and laughing.

Got to give credit to Victorino - he made a hell of a catch given the circumstances.

Re: Wrigley Beer Thrower Got Away
While I wouldn't condone what he did it was a very nice, sly toss and right on target. My guess is he will have a tough time getting back to Wrigley soon.
Nothing to see here mods. Keep moving. -
Re: Wrigley Beer Thrower Got Away
Here's probably the major reason why I dislike the Cubs so much - it's not so much the organization, it's the fans that pull stupid **** like this. Granted, someone's going to now come on and say, "all fan bases have stupid fans like this..." - really? How often do you hear about fans interfering with games like Cubs fans do? Well, I guess there's the White Sox where you had those two losers who jumped out onto the field and physically assaulted whoever it was on the Kansas City Royals several years ago, but outside of Chicago, where else is this a problem? I mean, go back about a decade or so and you had that one time where Sammy Sosa absolutely wigged out on something he considered a bad call and it apparently gave every single fan a license to begin chucking things on the field - beer and pop cups, trash, souvenirs, it was ridiculous. Not to mention if you're a fan of the opponent you run the risk of taking a beer shower before the day is over (well, at least that one fan was nice enough to ask my friend first before he did it).
Like I said, it seems like Chicago, and particularly the Cubs, is the only place you tend to hear about sheer fan stupidity in the Major Leagues...

You make is sounds like this type of stuff happens every day. If this game wasn't on espn there probably wouldn't have been as much tv coverage either.
