That it is a stretch to say he has caught-on (may change, but he has yet to play a down) this long (2nd year) in the NFL.

    Sage leaves field in socks

I really hope Sage wins the Vikings starting position. See video for his nice gesture to a couple fans.

I watched from behind the fence as this happened. The second kid that got one of Sage's shoes is actually my girlfriend's brother, who has cerebral palsy.

He had quite a day that day with tons of autographs on a white Vikings football as well as signed shoes from not only Sage, but also Adrian Peterson and Sidney Rice.

Matt Blair was also there signing autographs and he got one from him as well. Since his two sisters, brother, and myself go to ISU he is a big Cyclone fan himself. Adding in Sage and Blair and the day had an Iowa State feel.

I saw the football in the video; just covered in autographs. Sounds like you guys had a great day. Being a Vikings fan also, I sure like the ISU connections.

Iowa State: Anyone who's a true college basketball fan needs to see a game at Hilton Coliseum. Nice is in the DNA of Iowans and the fans here are particularly gracious -- even when the home team loses but gives a great effort, they are appreciative.

ESPN.com picked Hilton Coliseum as the "Hot Arena" in the Big 12...coaches in the league noted that, "regardless of talent, the Cyclones have a home court like no other."
