    Makes you wonder if the Twins made the correct move not offering him the 5 year after all (not saying I wouldn't have liked him on the rotation this year nor am I saying I wouldn't have wanted more in return in the trade, but if his elbow has to be reconstructed, who knows if he comes back as the dominating pitcher he once was).

    Man life is really kicking the Mets in the nuts this year. Not that losing Santana for the rest of the season really even matters at this point..

    I've said this all day today. My guess is it is really not an injury and they are just shutting him down to prevent an injury. No reason to keep trotting him out there when this season is a waste. save the arm for next year and give some AAA kids a shot in the bigs.
