Since the Cubs are all but mathematically eliminated from post season play I am just hoping that they can finish with a winning record.
I think the Cubs will finish the season 1-2 BELOW .500 baseball. That with the super soft remaining schedule.
At least we had the week or two when Aramis, Lee, and Soriano all hit the ball.
Otherwise this team really bad.
I don't even know where to start after tonight. 15 runs at Wrigley to the Nationals? Really?
Who cares if they finish with a winning record? At this point, it should be World Series or bust every year.
Not sure, but I would bet they win more in the remainder of this regular season than they did in the last 2 post seasons combined. :yes: Or, for that matter, more games than in all their post seasons in the last 100 years combined.:yes::yes: I am really that confident in this year's finish!!!!Quote:

I stuck a fork in this team about 2 weeks ago. Anyone holding out hope they'll get hot and make the playoffs still I want a hit of what you are smoking. Right now they'd have to play .750 baseball the rest of the season to make the playoffs and that is just not going to happen with this team.
So what do you guys think they do in the offseason? I doubt they will find anyone that would want to pick up Bradley or Soriano's contracts...where do they need the most help?
