Harden, Heilman claimed
Both Rich Harden and Aaron Heilman were claimed by National league teams today. They have till Monday to work out a trade or could be pulled back.
Are the Cubs giving up? Muskat Ramblings: 8/27 Harden, Heilman reportedly claimed -
Re: Harden, Heilman claimed
I would keep Harden and either sign him to a long term deal or let him go and take the draft picks. Those two draft picks are more valuable than what we could get for him right now.

Re: Harden, Heilman claimed
Whoever it is can have Heilman for a bucket of bp balls...
Harden on the other hand, I am starting to think you bring him back next year. He has been pretty good the past two months...

Re: Harden, Heilman claimed

He's actually turned the corner i thought 3-1 since the break......what other cub pitcher can claim that???

Re: Harden, Heilman claimed

I think gocubs2118 summed the Harden situation up perfectly.

Nice avatar. I should really change it back to Felix Pie. -
Re: Harden, Heilman claimed
Harden should be a middle reliever.

I'm sure they'll let Heilman go, Harden they probably just want to see what someone would give them in a trade but bet he is pulled back.

Hopefully they put Soriano and Bradley on waivers too and someone is dumb enough to take their huge contracts off our hands. I don't care if we get a bag of balls in return for both of them, surely they could use all that saved money to make some smarter acquisitions this offseason.

So I doubt it.
