Ochocinco to sue the NFL?
Cincinnati Bengals receiver Chad Ochocinco fined $5,000 for wearing orange chin strap - ESPN
I guess he was fined for wearing an orange chinstrap, but is claiming he is being discriminated against because he is color blind.
This is flat out ridiculous, but I will say that he makes the NFL a far more interesting leauge.

Once again, the NFL proves it is truly the No Fun League. Some of Ochocinco's antics go over the top, but I love some of the stuff he does. -

Deoin Sanders used to get fined all the time for uniform violations. He would alter the sleeves of his jersey for some reason and would get in trouble for it a lot.

Re: Ochocinco to sue the NFL?
i dont remember who i was listening to ... i think it was cowherd, but he was talking about how there are 2 nfl officials per game (one with each team)who are in charge of over seeing uniform modifications during warm-ups ... rediculous

Re: Ochocinco to sue the NFL?
Those are two ridiculous fines.
I understand the whole "it's a team game" thing, but doesn't the NFL get the idea of marketing players?

It is a rule, they are given the equipment for free. They have to spend their own money to do the changes. They are doing it on purpose and don't care about the fine.
I don't know the key to success, but the key to failure is trying to please everyone. -

Why don't they fine Belichick.

"I cut the sleeves off because it looks awesome!" I think because he isn't in a union. I think sometimes that people forget that stuff. They can try and get things changed thru bargaining, but until then quit changing out the issued socks, helmet straps, etc. If my boss was paying me 8 million a year, and I was also getting free work attire, I wouldn't complain if my hard hat was blue vs. white.
I also know that this is a publicity stunt.

Excellent point. It's fine if Bill Belichick wants to look like a hobo, but the league balks when Mike Nolan wants to wear a suit on the sideline. Makes no sense at all.
