Basketball Hall of Fame induction tonight

Tonight was the Basketball Hall of Fame induction - headlined by Michael Jordan, John Stockon and David Robinson. Robinson's speech was touching - he truly is an athlete kids can look up to. Watching Michael's highlight package really hit me. I'm so glad I got to see him play because as good as players in the NBA are today NOBODY is in MJ's league.

Did MJ's speech seem awfully awkward and strange to you?

    i love mike's quote

coah : "you know there's no i in team"
Mike: "ya your right, but theres an i in win"
Iowa State: Anyone who's a true college basketball fan needs to see a game at Hilton Coliseum. Nice is in the DNA of Iowans and the fans here are particularly gracious -- even when the home team loses but gives a great effort, they are appreciative.

ESPN.com picked Hilton Coliseum as the "Hot Arena" in the Big 12...coaches in the league noted that, "regardless of talent, the Cyclones have a home court like no other."

Spent too much time specifically mentioning the people in his life that ever doubted him or ever dared to say no to him. That part was not very classy.

John Stockton looked very awkward during that bit about Bryon Russell. Seeing Jerry Sloan's eyes open wide like that was amusing, like he didn't know that had happened.

I didn't catch a lot of humility in Jordan's speech. It always seemed like those speeches weren't a time to promote your greatness. Your induction has already done that.

Yeah, a lot of uncomfortable looks in the crowd throughout the whole speech. I felt weird watching from my couch.

Someone strayed from the general model, and it wasn't the crowd.

Here is a great yahoo column on Jordan's speech and I agree 100 percent and I'm a biggest Jordan fan you will find. MJ, you are the best ever why do feel the need to be so bitter.
