ESPN's Steve Phillips' Mistress Harasses his Wife
NEW YORK — ESPN baseball analyst Steve Phillips admits having an affair with an assistant at the cable network who taunted his wife with phone calls and a letter graphically describing their relationship, the New York Post reported Wednesday.
After 22-year-old production assistant Brooke Hundley was dropped by Phillips, she made repeated phone calls to his wife, Marni, saying "We both can't have him," the newspaper reported, citing a Wilton, Conn., police report.
"I have extreme concerns about the health and safety of my kids and myself," Phillips said in a statement to police. The Associated Press: Report: ESPN's Phillips 'mistress' taunts his wife -

What is wrong with ESPN analysts? It it required to have an affair with or harass fellow employees?

Can't stand the guy on ESPN. Not that I watch much baseball talk at all, but I never cared to listen/watch him.
This just seals the deal.

This isn't Phillips' first sex scandal. From the link:
"The 46-year-old Phillips is a former general manager of the New York Mets. Phillips admitted having sex with a team employee, who sued for sexual harassment. That case was settled out of court."
His wife is divorcing him this time.

This just seals the deal. I don't think he did a poor job on TV. The fact that he was a horrible GM who was fired by the Mets gives him credibility issues, though.

I have watched a lot less ESPN since getting Direct TV and being able to watch the MLB Network.

I guess I never got past the incredibly stupid fake season wrap-up "press conferences" he conducted on ESPN for all the teams. Who knows if it was his idea or not - they just were idiotic. Being he was a GM, they likely were his idea - so he could somehow feel as if he was a GM again.
Just the same reason he's cheating on his wife with 20-somethings, trying to feel young again.
