He already said he doesn't want to pitch in New York. The dude is certifiably crazy, but just throws bb's. Not everyone can throw a curve at three diffrent speeds, then have the ability to throw 97 in the 9th inning. The Royals already locked him up for a couple more years, and he wants to stay here. The team is building around two really good young players, Greinke and Billy Butler who raked even though the guy hitting two and four were horrible.
Are all the awards given out? Did Mauer get his MVP yet?
Good for Zack! He deserved it. Could have had more wins with a better team behind him. As far as Mauer goes, I think the MVP comes out on like the 23rd or something like that. Hope he gets it.
I've been a life long Royals fan and just missed out on their World Series by 6 months (dang it, parents). I couldn't be happier for Zack after everything he's been through. Hopefully the Royals can get some better bats behind him that way he doesn't have to go out there and throw a shutout just to be able to compete for a win.
He was my preseason Cy Young winner! And He won it! Congrats to Donald Greinke! He was just outstanding this year and there shouldn't have been a debate as to who should have won it!

Ive been a lifelong Royals fan as well. But I came a few years after the World Series. Zack was incredible this year!
