Sweet...Now Kansas City can ask for even more when they decide to trade him in the future...former Cy Young award winners are worth more...
Zack is a great story, and to think he almost hung it up a couple years ago because of his anxiety disorder. He deserves the award despite the Royals inability to score him any runs, and it gives the fans some shred of hope to cling to.
The kid knows how to pitch, and if the Royals are smart, they will try to lock him up and never trade him (unless they get contracted).

He's not a free agent after next season. Greinke agreed to a deal last offseason that has him under contract in KC through 2012. It was a 4 year/$38m deal which bought out his first 2 years of free agency. For those that are interested it breaks down like this:Quote:

Thanks, The website that I looked at said that he was a free agent after 2010, but that makes sense that he isn't.
