Viking's still in running for #1 spot in the NFC
With the Saints losing, what kind of shot do you guys think the Vikes have at getting the home field advantage?

Slim to none, the saints are a better team and I doubt they lose again

It would be nice, but I don't see it happening. I'd be fine with the #2 slot and NOT playing the Pack again!

I believe that if they wind up tied, MN has the tie-breaker advantage. So, simply put, MN has to win out and NO has to lose again.

After they lose tonight, zero

The Saints were exposed. Unfortunately they play Tampa Bay and Carolina down the stretch, so the chances of them losing another game are slim.

And I am not so sure that the Saints are the better team. They have looked good at all the last couple weeks and if it wasn't for a Suisham missed chip shot FG they would have lost to Washington as well.
Vikings can do what the Cowboys did last night and get pressure with the front four. You need to do that to beat the Saints

The Saints have not proved they are better than the Vikings at all. There's just a lot of haters who talk out of their *****.

i think it will tough for the Vikes. should win tonight, but you never know. They have played good on the road except for at Ariz. I don't care how bad the Bears are, that is always a tough game there. Giants at home wont be easy as they will be playing for playoff lives, maybe. I don't see the Saints losing again.

I hope the playoffs road ends like it sits today. They'd dodge Green Bay in the divisional playoffs and couldn't meet until the title game, which would mean Green Bay would have to knock out New Orleans. I reallllllly don't like the matchup of Rodgers or Brees against the defense, but would rather see Brees just because Rodgers already tore it apart left and right once in the dome already.

You don't ever want to play the same team 3 times. I really hope the Vikes don't have to square off against the Pack again!

Re: Viking's still in running for #1 spot in the NFC
I don't see the Saints advancing very far in the playoffs with their defense - injuries or not. They took advantage of playing in one of the weakest divisions in football to get people to buy into the hype. Defense wins championships and the Saints are lacking in that area. They would not even win most of the other divisions in the league, let alone get past the semi-final match-up.
I expect it to come down to a rematch of the Vikings and Packers with the Vikings improved secondary play down the stretch being the deciding factor.

If both wild card teams won the first weekend, the #5 (Packers right now) would play the #2 (Vikings now) and the #6 would play the #1.

Lowest seed in round 2 plays highest seed and so forth. So the lowest seeded team left after round 1 will play the Saints and the other will play the vikes
