    Re: Chiefs Keep Collecting Garbage

Crennel may not be a HC, but IMO, he knows how to coach defense. Same with Charlie Weis.

Chiefs fans will complain about these hires, but 5-8 years ago Chiefs fans would have been dancing in the streets over these two coming on board. Ignore their HC resumes and look at what they've done as coordinators.

These are two top-flight, proven coordinators. I don't get the "garbage" thing here.

    Kansas City Chiefs...

I know not a lot of people are really not that concerned with the chefs, but, this team is headed in the right direction - big time.

First they brought in Scott Pioli, one of the best GM's in the business.
Then they brought in Matt Cassell when Denver was doing everything to get him.
Third they sent LJ and his huge salary packin, in time to find a diamond in the rough in Jamaal Charles sitting on the bench...

Now they've hired arguably two of the best coordinators in the business in Charlie Weis and Romeo Crennel who did a pretty good job while in New England, just look at their rings - plural.

I'm a cowboys fan, but, the chiefs are going to be an up and coming team in the AFC....

Ok good point. I'll try and keep that in mind. I guess I just hope they prove me wrong.

KMAC, I agree with everything you said. BTW, I'm a Chiefs and Cowboys guy too. (I'm assuming you are kind of a Chiefs fan.)

Now all that they need is an offensive line, a defensive line, linebackers, cornerbacks, wide receivers, blocking back .........

I'm also a Cowboys fan, but I've got a special place in my heart for the Dallas Texans.

    Re: Chiefs Keep Collecting Garbage

now all they need to do is hire the patriots head coach, and maybe they can have deja vu all over again......
“The American people will never knowingly adopt socialism, but under the name of liberalism they will adopt every fragment of the socialist program until one day America will be a socialist nation without ever knowing how it happened.”
    – Norman Thomas, American socialist and six-time presidential candidate for the Socialist Party of America

This is starting to get weird.... they've acquired a lot of the old patriots... including players...

    Cassel, Crennel, Vrabel, Weis... seriously?

I like the hires, now if we can find a few better players for them to coach.
