Iowan Jeremy Hellickson - Future MLB Star?
The website Baseball Prospectus has started their ratings of each teams minor league prospects. I see where Jeremy Hellickson is rated as the Rays No. 2 prospect and is rated 5 stars (out of 5). By his bio he is a grad of DM Hoover. I haven't heard of him before, but based on their ratings and his minor league stats it looks like he could be solid MLB player.

I was a senior when he was a freshman and he was attracting scouts to our games as a freshman. I've monitored his stats throughout his minor league stints and have kept in touch with him. He hit a bit of a snag jumping from league to league, which is to be expected with a whole new talent level, but he continued dominating. I actually expect him to make the Ray's rotation this year.

They've been talking about him a lot and how he could make the Ray's starting 5 this year... I guess he's really developed into a stud. I hope he does well. I always cheer for former Iowans.

Watched him a lot his last year at Hoover. He has "it." Pitched smart, threw hard, had good off speed pitches. His biggest issue was health at the time. If he stays healthy he will make a lot of money playing baseball

He's been working hard developing his pitches. Obviously in the big leagues you need to have a good strong pitch set and know when to use what. His go to pitch used to be his fastball. He hit low to mid nineties in high school. I know he's trying to improve his changeup.
Health and size are the biggest concerns but he shall overcome.
