What I was just pointing out is if you watched the game and see the stats....The saints were lucky they didn't get beat by 2 touchdowns. Therefore giving ISU and the Vikings something in common. Should of would of could of etc

Possession 36:49 27:56 LOL. Saints beat the Vikings in turnovers. saints had 2 Vikings had 5. Not sure abotu you but when I watched the game, everyone of those turnovers was caused by someone getting a hand onthe ball, favre getting chased, or a defneder making a play.
Last I checked, turnovers are part of the game and until they aren't, the better team won.

I just hate Brett Farve and everything about him!!! I read this and thought it was my post for a second. The first paragraph is why I hated him so much as a Packer and had my heart ripped out when he came to Minnesota.
I hope he just goes away.

So if Viking fans want to get rid of Favre, do they also want to get rid of AP and the receivers that fumbled as well?

Minnestoa dominated last night, but just like the Nebraska/ISU game last fall, turn the ball over that many times and you don't deserve to win.

Exactly, I was pretty much fuming last night and looking for excuses why the Vikings got screwed. In the end, they screwed themselves. Hold on to the ball and you run away with that game. NO forced what they had to to stay in the game and win it late. The score is all that matters.

Re: I wonder if Favre regrets....
Favre has been a great player.
But I think he is a very self-centered and selfish player and the longer he hangs on the more you see it. He refused to tutor Rodgers in GB as his understudy at the end. He goes to NY and is a locker room cancer and then he comes to Minnesota and decides to totally forsake one of the best running attacks in the game with Peterson.
In true Favre fashion, he botched a handoff late in the first half to lose some sure points and then he tosses a totally ill-advised pass that gets picked off late in the second half when they had a decent chance to maybe getting a long field goal off to win the game.

I cheer for two teams, Iowa State and whoever is playing the hawkeyes. -
Re: I wonder if Favre regrets....
Favre did not turn the ball over 3 times. You can't put that fumble on him. That was on AP for sure.
Favre played a great game. His last INT was a bad mistake but in the end it didn't matter. Childress going soft the last minute in the game forced Favre to have to make a play. How you settle for a 50 yard FG is beyond me

This from the man who told me how horrible the Syracuse MBB team was going to be this year...I think you said they would not make the NCAA Tournament.
You can help me find my clue after you find your own.

How you settle for a 50 yard FG is beyond me Precisely. Childress is as much to blame as anyone. He was perfectly content to settle for a 50-55 yard FG attempt. The Saints read it and loaded up the box. A couple short, safe passes on 1st and 2nd downs and I think the game ends differently.

I would actually trade AP in a minute if we got anything worth a damn. Right now I'd ilke em all strung up but thats just right now. I'll keep Favre if he can make it abother year (not sure) and Harvin. Give up AP and Berrian.
Nothing to see here mods. Keep moving. -

I'm still wondering why the suddenly went safe when it looked like they moved the ball on the Saints well all game. But it really never should have come to that point.
The fumble on the exchange mostly by AP and then the fumble by Berrian - both in the red zone is really what lost this game. Took points directly off the board. The fumble by Harvin basically put points on the board for the Saints.
It's typical that some will put it all on Favre, but each of these events took place before that final ill advised pass that never should have even needed to be thrown, then compounded further by suddenly going safe and the 12 men in the huddle penalty.
BTW...since when was it smart to play safe for a 50 yard field goal in a playoff game?

Never argue with an idiot. They will bring you down to their level and then beat you with experience.
