I'm devastated, we pi$$ed that game down our leg. Opportunities like this rarely come along, I'm so bummed.

I was surprised the Vikes didn't blitz more to put the heat on Brees Like I have said many times Favre couldnt have gotten more than 2 to 3 yards if he ran it. Watch the replay and while watching remember he is a 40 year old by the name of Favre. Not Vince Young
Vikings should have blitzed Brees zero times all game! Vikings defense played great but the times that the Saints had bigger plays was when the Vikings blitzed. The safety was never successful in his blitzes.
Every rags on Favre but nobody mentions the 3rd down completions he had the last drive. The 20 yd pass to Shiancoe after AP fumbled it for a loss of 10.

They usually make those in the NFL.

I love the Vikings but that made me laugh. It's refreshing to hear mutual frustration. It was tought to watch, but 1998 was MUCH worse. Maybe over time I've become numb to it?

Re: Vikings Radio Announcers Do Little To Hide Their Anger
3rd and 8 last play. Saints blitz. Favre completes the pass to Berrian
Next play Favre hits Sidney Rice on a pass that there aren't to many other QB's can make. Unreal throw
Let's be honest. The only reason the Vikings even had a chance to win that game despite 5 TO's is because of Favre. How anybody can't see that is beyond me

Re: Vikings Radio Announcers Do Little To Hide Their Anger
If he runs it to the sideline he gets maybe the 32, but atleast the 35, I'm convinced of that. Even the 35 gives them a long, but very makeable field goal. But I also think every hit he took that game made him less and less willing to tuck it and run in that situation.

It was a horrible decision by a veteran QB, and that can not be argued. Even just taking a knee and going for the TD on 4th down would have been smarter than that.

I just don't think its what cost them the game. I think Chilly getting conservative with 1 minute 3 seconds left and the ball on the 33 was the difference maker.
People keep forgetting to mention the 5 yard penalty following a timeout! Or the dropped INT in Overtime in which the ball literally fell in the guys arms. Or the horrible pass interference call. Or the fumble at the end of the half by AP. Or the fumble by Berrian. Or the fumble by Harvin! All anybody is talking about is Favre, when the fact remains he was the only reason they were still in the game

The penalty coming out of a time out was the turning point. That is classic Childress football - confusion and poor clock management.
