Beat writer Jim Thomas believes the Rams are "seriously considering" trading for Michael Vick.
The Rams wouldn't have to give up much to get Vick and adding him would allow them to focus on filling their many other gaping holes. Vick knows Rams GM Billy Devaney from their time together in Atlanta and would bring instant excitment/controversy to a dormant Rams franchise. His addition would likely also lock in Ndamukong Suh as the No. 1 overall draft pick.
Personally as a HUGE Rams fan I would LOVE this for two reasons! First of all Bulger is LOOOOOOOOOOOONG overdue his departure. He doesn't have any threat on defenses at all, and Boller is still terrible and Keith Null isn't the future. Another reason is simply locking up Suh as the #1 pick. Looking at mock drafts and seeing some people say Claussen is going first makes me quiver. Go Rams!
Would the Rams really consider Vick as their number 1 QB? What exactly did he do to prove that he was capable of taking over a team? Seems like a gimmick to sell tickets. And I guess that's fine, but you are basically saying that you care more about selling tickets than you do winning games. And, maybe that's ok, too. Doesn't sit right with me, though.
