Brandon Marshall expected to be traded shortly after March 5
According to the Denver Post, Brandon Marshall is expected to be traded shortly after NFL free agency opens on March 5.
The Broncos' leverage is somewhat damaged after a Week 17 blowout between Marshall and coach Josh McDaniels. Throw in Marshall's major character concerns, and the team will have trouble getting anywhere close to full value for their restricted free agent. Marshall isn't talking during this week's Pro Bowl practices, saying he's "had enough publicity." Smart.

He's got Washington Redskins written all over him, in my opinion.

I would hope that the Cowboys might be interested but don't know what we'd give for him. I would suggest maybe Roy Williams and Marion Barber and possibly a middle round draft pick?? Barber can be replaced by Felix Jones and Tashard Choice. The tandem of Marshall and Austin would be great!! AND we all know that Jerry doesn't care about signing "troubled" players(ex. Pacman Jones and Tank Johnson).

Why would Denver want either Roy Williams or Marion Barber? Denver doesn't need another headcase WR, and they have a nice stable of running backs already.

I would hope the packers would grab him. Make Marshall the #1. Driver back to the #2, possession receiver he should be. And Jennings back to the slot. Probably have to give up someone of Defense though. Raji or 1 of the LB's (Hawk).

Jennings would probably not be too happy about that. He is one of the most unsung stars in the NFL. He would be a number 1 receiver on many, many teams.

With his size and speed though he is perfect for the slot. The slot isnt a bad spot anymore as it used to be. Plenty of offenses use the slot just as much in their passing games. See colts and pats.
Especially in an offense where the Qb is throwing over 4000 yrds, like the packers.
Dont get me wrong though, I realize it probably won't happen. Mainly because Ted Thompson is a huge fan of developing talent not trading for it. Which has been largely successful and kept them under the cap.

I could understand them not wanting Williams(neither do we by the way), but Buckhalter and Moreno is a "nice stable"?? Barber still has something in his tank and Buckhalter is a walking injury waiting to happen and Moreno might have a sophomore slump like Forte of the Bears did. Plus Moreno/Barber 1-2 punch might be pretty good.

Plus Moreno/Barber 1-2 punch might be pretty good. Buckhalter is entering the 2nd year of a 4 year deal, and he did just fine this year, averaging almost 5 1/2 yards per carry, as well as providing a nice receiving threat.
And Moreno was the leading rookie rusher this year.
They also have Lamont Jordan, who is a solid number three.
Does Barber represent an upgrade over Buckhalter? It's debatable, but for the sake of argument, let's say he is. Barber will be entering the 3rd year of a 7 year, $45 million contract. That's a pretty high price tag for a number 2 RB, especially when they already have a serivceable number 2 in Buckhalter who's getting paid a fraction of the cost.
Just doesn't make sense.

Just doesn't make sense. Good insight, and I agree, the Broncos are fairly set at RB, and taking on a high dollar guy like Barber doesn't seem like something they'd be interested in.

Hopefully they get a 1st and 3rd out of the deal. I am hoping the broncos go after danario alexander to replace Marshall. I also dont see the broncs getting a running back, i see them drafting one.
