The park is more than "just fine." I have two friends (die-hard Card fans) who went last night who told me Target Field is stunning, and they like it much better than the new Busch.

Game is being replayed now on FSN. The food looks ridiculously awesome.

Re: Twins Fans...Target Field
Let me re-iterate that I did say "..awesome park..." in my comments. I was just noting how much smaller it was than Busch Stadium, a place I'm familiar with. Some people need to grow thicker skin. I plan to be at more games this year at Target Field and Busch Stadium.

Everyone has favorite baseball parks. I have not been to Target Field, but I have been to Busch. IMO, it is very generic, At least on TV, Target Field looks more unique.

Re: Twins Fans...Target Field
Very nice place to watch a game. I was way up in 327 which is in the 3rd deck right in the left field corner and the sight lines were fine except something hit in a small space right there in the left field corner. Good views from the concourse, good selection of different foods and brew. Give it 10 years and I think it'll be viewed like Kaufman Stadium is often viewed, a thoroughly nice place to go to a game at, but not a "must do" stadium.
I only have 2 real complaints, the vendors need to pick up the pace, the lines weren't that long for food or drink but moved slower than they should have, also my section saw a vendor only once the entire game. Next, this is more of a people issue in my opinion, on the main concourse before the game it was gridlock, people need to keep moving. If you have seats on the 2nd or 3rd deck try to get there as soon as possible as the traffic flows much smoother and less densely there.

Re: Twins Fans...Target Field
Went to the Bosox game yesterday (4/14) at Target Field. It compares very well to Busch - but Target field is a much better stadium to watch BP in. The left field seats (along the foul lines) are right at field level. The three kids each got a ball during BP from players that handed the balls right to the kids. The kids loved it!
The only comparison that needs to be made is between Target Field and Metrodome. Target Field is such an amazing upgrade from the teflon that it can't really be described....
We sat in a rain shower at a home Twins game for the first time in 30+ years and it was magnificent!

I would imagine this will improve as more and more people have been there before. Practically every single patron is having their first experience at this park each game. As the newness wears off it will become less and less like traffic backing up as it passes an accident and everyone is rubbernecking.
Just my $.02.

Target Field sits on the smallest footprint in the Major Leagues, yet they are able to fit ~40,000 people around a regulation-sized baseball diamond comfortably. It's bound to have a "cozy" feel to it...

Re: Twins Fans...Target Field
I just went to the game yesterday and was brought by the millwork contractor who did all the wood work on the entire project (Target Field) He took me through almost the entire place and I can attest, the ball park is unbelievable! I've been to about 10 parks across the country and Target Field is at the top of the list right now!
There is even a bar where they used the flooring from the old Minneapolis Lakers' basketball floor. (Apparently it's been in storag for a very long time)
The food is amazing the sights from every angle are great. The whole experience is incredible. Apparently the screen is the 2nd largest in the world right now (what I was told). I'd encourage you all to make a trip there this summer, if you can.
If we can remove our bias towards our favorite team, most folks would agree Target Field is nearly perfect. (IMO)

I wonder when they're going to paint in the "TC" logo...

You mean the one behind home plate that's white now? (with actual colors: red/blue)?
I'd guess the probably won't change because Red/Blue wouldn't "stand out" as much unless they're bordered in white.

Re: Twins Fans...Target Field
I went to Target Field yesterday to watch the Royals and Twins. My Royals won so it was a fun one but the Twins are probably my second favorite team so that's always bittersweet. I know they are in the same division and everything but I have so many friends who are Twins fans it always makes for a good time.
I took a lot of pictures of the park and we had a great time. It was really nice and new but I was hoping for a little more distinction about it. I really like fields that have some feature that is very unique (like the waterfalls in Kauffman or the stuff in the back of the angels stadium). There were like six christmas trees in center field then it was a concrete box. I did really like how the stadium was really close and compact with the field.

Re: Twins Fans...Target Field
Sounds like a very nice stadium. However I can't believe they did without the retractable roof. If/When they ever get to the World Series they may get snowed out. Co-workers have told me of driving thru a snowstorm to watch the 91 World Series in the Metrodome. Could be very miserable.
