Worst parks for opposing fans?

In the spirit of Opening Week I've already been preparing for several baseball road trips. I've already been to the Metrodome, Turner Field, RFK, and Kauffman and haven't had a bad experience yet (as a BoSox fan). However, this year I am looking at going to Comeriaca (DET) and U.S. Cellular (CWS) and am a bit nervous about the fans at those stadiums... I'll be avoiding the bleachers and sitting in box seats for sure.

Any horror stories or words of advice for these or other stadiums around the country?

As a Cubs fan I've had some good times and some bad times at Minute Maid Ball Park.
First let me say that the times that I've spent some really good money on tickets, Astros fans have treated me great and enjoy the game, will shake your hand, overall good times! But some of the times I've gotten the cheap seats I've taken a good deal of verbal harassment for the majority of the games.
Kinda a "you get what you pay for" type thing!

The Cell is a fine place. Surrounding neighborhood isn't the most charming, but not bad.

Philly is no doubt the worse. They don't like you if you aren't wearing Phillies gear there...

I've been to Atlanta, St. Louis, Denver, and both in Chicago. Really no complaints, although some of the newer ones like U.S. Cellular are so commercialized it makes me sick.

As cubs fans we got treated like **** at Miller Park. After cheering a cub homerun (not obnoxiously or anything) the guy behind us opened a mustard packet and squeezed it all over my wife's back and hair. A bunch of people then proceeded to cheer him on. He got ejected but stuff like that really tends to ruin the whole experience.

I'm going to go ahead and say Yankee fans at Fenway or Red Sox fans at Yankee Stadium are the worst for opposing fans. My guess is Cubs/Cards would be right after that.

I actually thought St. Louis fans were really friendly when I was there for a Cubs game last year.

With all the Cubs fans on here this is sure to be unpopular, but if you're not a Cubs fan Wrigley can be downright terrible.

I'm not a Cubs fan and I don't agree with this. The history and aura of the place is just amazing.

If you're visiting Wrigley, at least try to order your tickets in advance. I can't imagine being an opposing fan at the mercy of those scalpers.

That said, my non-Cubs fan dad and I have been to Wrigley several times, and even though he couldn't stand the scalpers, he still says Wrigley has the best baseball atmosphere of any park he's been to.

As a Cubs fan, the worst opposing park I've been to is Dodger Stadium. The fans were loud obnoxious drunks. I did sit in the bleachers, however, and I can only imagine that opposing fans would say the same thing about the Bleacher Bums in Wrigley.

Though, in my opinion in about 30-40 games in the bleachers, it seems that the only opposing fans that really get "the business" are the vocal drunks from opposing teams. Whereas at Dodger Stadium, anybody wearing Cubs gear were berated endlessly...

I haven't been to too many places, but Miller Park is pretty bad. Brewer fans are always trying to start **** every game, even if you keep to yourself. Last time I went, some guys were even making fun of the 35W bridge.

Of course I probably deserved the crap one year when I wore my "Green Bay still sucks" t-shirt

I've had bad experiences wearing my Mets jersey at Wrigley Field. While even most of the drunk fans are okay to be around, the d-bags at Wrigley tend to be particularly nasty in their d-baggery...

Allow me to clarify. I can respect the history of Wrigley field and what it stands for, it's somewhat like that of Lambeau Field where my beloved Packers play.

What I am saying is the fans there are awful if you root for the opposing team to the point where it's almost unbearable to be there.
