I don't disagree with your POV either. I also enjoy watching the big hitters try to get themselves out of jail when they bomb it in the trees. Then it forces them to play the kind of golf I like.

I see what you're saying, but I wouldn't classify Tiger as a Grip-n-Rip player; John Daley / Boo Weakly types fit that for me. Tiger has some amazing finesse with the short irons and he is money with the putter inside 7-ft.

    Re: The Masters Discussion Thread

I'm not sure why anyone could really despise any golfer. Besides John Daly and Tiger Woods, there really aren't any extremists in the world of golf that would make anyone hate them for the way they handle and represent their sport.

I'm not a huge Phil fan, but enjoy watching him play due to his ability to make shots around the green that not many can do. I remember watching him back in the day wearing visor caps with Yonex branding.

That's a good point. There just aren't many demonstrative golfers that would lead you to not like them. I can't understand how anyone could dislike Phil. He seems like a genuinely good person, does alot of philanthropy work, has handed his wife and mother's illness well, and is well behaved on the course.

    shot of his life...
"We embrace that challenge and what it presents to us. I’m going to approach all 12 games this way: We’re going to win them all. If we prepare and then go out and execute, we’re going to win all 12. Now how many are we going to end up with at the end of the year? I don’t know, and you’re right, I won’t put a number on it."- Paul Rhoads on having the toughest schedule in the Big 12
