Decent article. I have a problem with him comparing Tiger with Roger Clemens. Roger cheated the game that made him famous. Tiger has not done that, at least we cannot say he has. I stick with my orignal opinion since all the stuff came out. Tiger is a golfer. He is what he is because he is a golfer. We do not know him because he is a great father and husband. SOme will say he had a responsibility to be a role model. I say nay. That is not his job. His job is to golf. If someone wanted him to be their role model, that was their decision. I believe he is sponsored by the same company that ran the "I am not a role model" commercial. Athletes should not and in most cases cannot be role models. They simply do not have a lifestyle conducive to being a good role model. Of course there are exceptions. Phil, I believe is a role model of sorts. Tiger also is from a competitive aspect. If you are looking for someone to be modeled after as far as a competitive drive, there is none better. He is not a role model from a personal life standpoint. I just have a problem with people saying he let them or their kids down. His job is not to help raise kids. His job is to entertain you on the course and he does that.
