If you had watched the celts all year, you'd know that PP has been playing through injuries all season (as he has throughout his career) and just had suffered a stinger in that shoulder about two weeks ago. Never question PP's toughness, he nearly died in his 2nd season when he got stabbed, and was back on the court in 10 days. Richardson is just a punk who has never won anything and never will. But back on topic. KG is easily my most hated player in the NBA. He is dirty. He is a jerk. He is literally insane.

I found this quote funny.

"He started to talk to me, so I talked back," Richardson said. "I don't have any business talking to [Pierce], he was on the ground crying. I don't know what was going on, two actresses over there, that's what they are."
"I don't like them, and they know it," Richardson added. "Sometimes he [Pierce] falls like he's about to be out for the season, and then he gets right up. That's all I said."

I think this is correct. He's not dirty, he's just a **** on the court. He had no reason to act the way he did last night when Q was coming over to see if Pierce was OK in a calm manner. I hope they don't suspend him for game 2 but they certainly could.

His own accounting of what he said at the time does not support that he just came over to see if Pierce was okay. He came over bad mouthing a player who was on the floor with a possible injury. What should he expect to happen in that situation? He may have gotten exactly the reaction he was trolling for.

Pierce may be tough but you wouldn't know it by how he reacts to boo-boos. Basketball players in general overreact to injury it seems. It's almost like soccer any more.

I don't think that Garnett's play in Minnesota supports that he thinks it is "all about him". When the star player (a 7' forward, to boot) often leads his team in assists, that is not "all about me" play. When that star forward plays "point forward" for his team when they get in a bind at the point guard position bringing the ball up under pressure, that doesn't support an "all about me" attitude. He was also a very good ambassador for the game and great with the kids while he was here.

I was sad to see him go, but I couldn't fault him for going to a team where he had a chance to win a championship. It was clear that the TWolves were not going to do what was necessary to get players around him to be a true contender. He had given them plenty of years to do so.

I haven't really followed him much in Boston.

I'm just having a hard time reconciling your two statements, but sometimes fans can't stand players who are good on other teams. I know I can think of my share of them.

I'll take your word for what has happened to him in Boston since I have little first hand information.

Pierce isn't as tough as Ginobli......guy broke his freaking nose last night and was back on the court in like 5 minutes like a hockey player!!!! Pretty sure Pierce would've sat out the rest of the game.....maybe even in a wheelchair....
