    If it's going to help my team, I really don't care where they went to school. I was thinking that Buffalo was going to take him. Damn, they need some help up front.

    What ever happened to truth, justice and the American Way?

On any normal weekend in Iowa City and Ames, no one can ever make a valid argument that the girls out in the Ames bars are better looking than the girls out in the Iowa City bars. That has nothing to do with my dis-like of Ames as a community...

    They dress sluttier, and there's more of them. The #'s make it seem like the quality is better. That's it. I never had trouble finding hot girls in Ames, ever.

    I won't deny that IC has a larger gross number of hot chicks out at the bars, but you also have to factor in the abnormally high level of DB "chicago" pretty-boys and rich brats. If you look at net available hot chicks, I think Ames will come out favorably. It's science.

    I didn't say there was not hot girls in Ames. Its a college town, of course there is. But I will argue until I'm blue in the face that Iowa City has better looking women overall than does Ames. I have personally proven this multiple times, and I have never heard one person argue this with me. Maybe your definition of attractiveness is different than mine?

    Only CF could turn a thread about a pasty lineman and packers, who reside in the most obese state in the nation... into a debate about hot chicks in ames vs. IC

    I've been to Iowa City enough, and the women simply aren't better looking. There are more women at the U of I, so the numbers are a little higher, but a girl doesn't magically become hotter by wearing a dress and heels. They dress sluttier, but if you put the same girls in Ames in slutty outfits, instead of a jeans and t-shirt, it would be the same damn thing.

    I would say IC has more high maintenance Chicago girls - ones that spend a lot of time and money on hair, makeup, clothing, shoes and purses. They're also the ones who are current on trends and fashion. Ames has their share of those, but they also have the small-town Iowa girls who aren't necessarily as up on those trends. Two different kinds of attractiveness, which is all subjective anyway.

    I'll agree. Again, all I said is Iowa City has more attractive girls. I didn't say I would rather marry a girl from Iowa City over a girl from Ames, or that I would rather have a long, intelligent conversation with a girl from Iowa City over Ames. I just said at first glance, Iowa City would knock Ames on its ***.

You seem to have an opinion close to mine so im just curious.
    It's impossible to predict Ted Thompson and I don't pretend to know squat; what I think are areas of need probably aren't in his book. Dream draft for me:

    1) Brian Bulaga (in the books);
    2) Charles Brown - OT / USC;

    That'd hopefully be the replacements for Clifton & Tauscher in two years, plus nice depth for this season in case of injury. Good bye to the combination of Allen Barbre, Breno Giacomini and possibly Daryn Colledge (hasn't signed his tender)

    3) Best available corner - AOA of IUP (dreaming) or Amari Spievey of EIU
    4) Austen Lane - DE / Murray State (6'6 - 274 - 4.84 - next James Harrison?)
    5) O'Brien Schofield - OLB / Wisconsin (inj) or Arthur Moats - OLB / James Madison
    5b) Myron Rolle - SS - Oxford University
    6) Deji Karim - RB / Southern IL
    7) Zoltan the Magnificent - Punter - Michigan State

    I don't think we're as bad off at either CB or OLB as the press would have you believe. At CB - Pat Lee is a second round pick entering his third year and Will Blackmon is serviceable; supposedly they're happy with the progress made by the kid from Cinci. Hopefully we'll never see Jarrett Bush in the defensive backfield again! At LOLB, I'm fine with a TC battle amongst Brady Poppinga, Jeremy Thompson and Brad Jones. If we could get Lane, Schofield or Moats at the right price - great!

    The Packers are Superbowl bound, Baby; if not, at least we're not Bear fans! In closing, Vikes suck - sure hope they draft Clausen to **** Favre off and create a little training camp drama...

    This is a stupid argument you're engaging in. Having said that I'll play along - I've lived in IC for twelve years and I'm in Ames frequently for business and sporting events. I'm old but not blind - this isn't even a contest! I see more beautiful young women driving across town on a Wednesday afternoon in Iowa City than an entire gameday Saturday in Ames. I don't care to speculate why that is, but it has nothing to do with how they're dressed...

    This was a really good pick for us and I'm sure Aaron Rodgers is even more happy with it than I am. While our line was good enough the second half of last year they are getting old and who knows how much longer they can keep it up. This is a good first step at refreshing that line.

    He's a Packer now and thats all that matters.....all is forgiven when he puts on the green and gold...
    To finish out the draft:
    2: Daryl Washington, Ricky Sapp or try to trade up for Taylor Mays
    3: CB's Javier Arenas or AOA from Indiana PA, Perrish Cox from OSU or G. John Jerry from Ole Miss
    4. G. Mike Johnson of Alabama, Larry Asante, Myron Rolle, or Kam Chancellor at Safety
    5 Dan LeFevour QB
    6 Returners Brandon James or Brandon Banks
    7 Marvelous Mike Brandtner

    I stand corrected. though with Terrence Cody leaving Alabama, does that rate go down?
