    Cubs and White Soxs to play for trophy

    Beginning this season, the Cubs and White Sox will play for the Crosstown Cup trophy during their six-game interleague series.
    The two clubs announced the new wrinkle on Monday.
    Chicago's two teams will continue to meet in a yearly six-game series as they have since 1997.

    Kind of stupid IMO. I think the only trophies in baseball should be the end of season trophies.

    I agree. This isn't college football. Another dumb thing: they play six games, sooo what happens when they go 3-3? Don't tell me they actually came up with a tiebreaker system either.

    Its probably a simple system like whoever scores the most runs.
