Walks are good but when you bat 8th in the NL you will get more walks to get to the pitcher
He won't be hitting in the 8th spot for very long, and he seems to have better plate coverage than Soriano does, as he can actually foul off balls that Soriano wouldn't get to.
Same old story tonight - good pitching, no offense.
That was a horrible game by Castro. Was close to 4 errors, but ruled a base hit.
I felt bad for Lilly tonight.
Castro threw another one away while warming up between innings. It was ugly. The ball always finds you on nights like that one. The booing was deserved when he let Hanley move up on that 3rd error. That's inexcusable.
Ramirez is hopeless. He is almost hopping as the ball is coming towards him. He can't decide when to swing, he's just not seeing it.
