Tiger Woods withdraws from Players on 7th hole
PONTE VEDRA BEACH, Fla. - Tiger Woods has withdrawn from the Players Championship with an apparent injury on the seventh hole of the final round.
After hitting his tee shot on No. 7 far right Sunday, Woods called over an official. He hit his second shot and grimaced in apparent pain again.
Woods then walked to the middle of the fairway to shake hands with playing partner Jason Bohn before leaving on a golf cart

In a way, I'm glad we have Tiger, because now ESPN can't devote 24/7 coverage to Favre.

Tiger is probably the most unclassy player there is. I guarantee you that he isn't injured but that somebody said something during the round or he was playing terrible so he thought he would take the spotlight away from whoever is going to win the tourney. I wish his wife woulda hit him in the head with that golf club last fall, might have knocked a little sense into him...he's a doosher

If you ask other players, Tiger is one of the classiest people in golf, quite opposite his public persona. On the other hand, Phil Mickelson is not well liked among golfers, quite the opposite of his public persona.

It sounds like he may have bulging disk. If so you have to wonder how much more thisyear he will play

Tiger doesn't even use the same lockerooms of the players in a lot of tourneys.

You are truely unbelievable. So just because he gets injured and withdraws he is automatically in the wrong and he is just avoiding people. The guy was shooting under par and with a good round and the if the top of the leaderboard fell, he is right in this tournament. Maybe you should actually follow the tournament and whats going on instead of ripping some guy that you have no clue what happened!

Looks like Tiger hit that double entendre right down the center of the fairway.

Not playing at the level of course, but if he can control swelling and any nerve issues, that shouldn't bother him that much. Golf Channel has only been talking about Lee Westwood all morning, but I'm sure NBC will open up coverage with solid Tiger news at 1 central.

You have to wonder if Jack's record will be safe, after all of this.
"I'm proud to lead this program and this team in whatever we do. Whether it's a community service project, or through practice or winning a bowl game, but you don't do that without the kids believing and being all in, and going out there and accomplishing all [of] the goals and expectations that we set." - Coach Paul Rhoads
