Just don't see Bettman trying to move the team back to Canada. Or selling to someone who does. Kansas City is aching for a team (whether it would be supported is up for debate) and Bettman has always shown interest in doing that.
I would love to see the NHL back in Kansas City. I personally think it's the best fit, but I have some concerns about how soft the fan support is down there. The Sprint Center is spectacular.
An NHL team in KC would be almost guarantee AHL hockey back in Des Moines.

I'd say so too. As long as we get the affiliate for the KC team it would work well. The I-Cubs succeed (other than being an accessible sport) because a lot of people around here root for the Chicago Cubs. If we have that same local feel to an AHL club they would probably get a lot of support in the future.
The Glendale City Council late Tuesday guaranteed the NHL up to $25M to keep the Phoenix Coyotes in Jobing.com Arena for the 2010-2011 season, according to an Associated Press report
