You guys need to understand that there is going to be a WHOLE summer of baseball where the Cubs are going to need some pitchers to send out there just to eat up innings.

We don't have to pay someone to do that though. There are plenty of guys in the minors who can do what Howry can, which isn't much.

The back end of the Cubs bullpen hasn't exactly been all star caliber this year.

Berg 6.43 ERA
Caridad 11.25
Samardzija 18.90
Gray 6.75

Between them they have 26 walks and 17 strikeouts

Grabow has been pretty good since he got that cortisone shot in his knee. In fact, over the last week or so, the bullpen as a whole has been very good.

and now we are bringing in Home Run Howry, with a 1-0 record, 10.67 ERA, 18 hits, 17 runs, 6 walks and 6 K's.

There had to be someone else better out there...
