Reports: Cyclist Floyd Landis admits to doping – This Just In - CNN.com Blogs

Seems like he wasted a lot of energy lying about this.

Re: Floyd Landis finally comes clean

Wow...he didn't just use one or 2 either:

ESPN.com reported that Landis said in an interview that he consistently used the red blood cell booster erythropoietin, commonly known as EPO, along with testosterone and the human growth hormone and that he received frequent blood transfusions.
He also used female hormones and, once, insulin, ESPN.com reported. He is coming forward because years of deceit have taken a toll on him, the site quoted him as saying.

Usually lab tests don't lie people do. Floyd did and it was a no brainer to see that then.

Kinda sucks. Back in 2006 when he was a big deal, I really believed him too....now I don't care anymore. Everyone is guilty!

Pretty sad that you write a book denying this. Do you recall the book?

I lean towards Armstrong being clean as well, but it's just sad you can't take athletes at their word anymore, even if they have negative drug tests to back up their claims. For years everyone thought Jose Canseco was a lying sack of **** who was just trying to take baseball down with him - until time and again he was proven to be right. People may still think Canseco is trying to take baseball down with him, but when he opens his mouth, people now pay attention.

Re: Floyd Landis finally comes clean

I don't know that Armstrong was clean. I would guess, if I had to, that he wasn't. I don't have a problem with it though. It has been proven that a vast a majority of the guys weren't clean. The thing that separates him is that he did it better than they did. We likely won't ever know if he was clean. In my mind it doesn't matter. If he was, then there were a bunch of guys that couldn't beat him even as they were cheating and if he wasn't he just did it better than they did.
    I'm on Twitter too: Tre4ISU

    Or so I have read.

    Agree with this.

With all the accusations out there, hard to think he was 100% clean. Although, for at least the last few of his Tour victories, Lance was basically a hunted man by Tour officials, and regarded as the most tested man in sports. Not sure how he could've cheated in the later years in particular, and not get caught.

I don't know why everyone automatically assumes that Lance was a big time doper. The guy has been tested more times than any other cyclist in the history of the sport. Maybe he is just really good at cheating, but they need to be checking someone else too to make it fair.

Landis was caught red handed and spent months concocting crazy stories to cover his lies.
