The Rockets are looking to move up into the Top 10 in next month's NBA Draft and they are willing to pay cash in order to do so.
Steve Kyler of HoopsWorld writes that Houston won't give up "meaningful assets to move up but they are in the market."
The Spurs are also trying to move up.

The Rockets and Blazers are two teams that will be working No. 3 Nets and No. 4 Wolves to move up in the draft, league sources say.

Picking seventh, the Pistons hope to move up in the draft from the No. 7 spot to the 4-5 range (Minnesota, Sacramento) to get Kentucky big man DeMarcus Cousins. Despite maturity issues, Cousins has the kind of low-post skills that Joe Dumars is seeking.

Portland is looking to move from No. 22 into the top of the draft, possibly targeting Minnesota's No. 4 pick.

One trade rumor that briefly circulated here involved the Sixers and the Minnesota Timberwolves. The Timberwolves want Turner and would give the Sixers their No. 4 and No. 16 picks in exchange
for the second pick.

The Timberwolves are hoping to add an athletic swingman this offseason, possibly by drafting Wesley Johnson with their #4 pick.

Other possibilities for the Wolves include DeMarcus Cousins, if he's still available, and Derrick Favors. The Wolves might also be entertaining trade offers, and the Trail Blazers are rumored to have interest in their lottery pick

The Grizzlies have three first-round picks in the 2010 draft (#12, #25 and #28) but might trade them all if they can land an "impact player."

It should be a real interesting draft. I think the general consensus is that there are 5-6 impact guys that have a real chance to be excellent players in the league, and this should allow for quite a few trade offers.

Sixers are putting their 2nd overall pick out there for trading but want the team to take on Elton Brand's ridiculous contract also.

That and the fact that you aren't penalized for having the first pick in the NBA unlike the NFL.

I think that a team in the win now and build for the future mode might that that. if you are willing to take the cap hit, getting Turner and Brand could help a team a lot

It makes you a playoff team in the East IMO. The thing is that the Sixers best player plays the same position as Turner so I am sure they would be willing to give it up, especially if they get the 4 and 16. The Twolves could take Brand and Turner and become a somewhat relevant team, especially if they can then convince Rubio to play. I think that may be part of their plan. Put a competitive team together that Rubio sees some success in.

You can expect teams like the Minnesota Timberwolves, Detroit Pistons and Indiana Pacers, in particular, to make a strong push to get a deal done with Philly. As I wrote on Friday, the Sixers have been telling teams that they'll have to take back the remaining three years, $50 million of Elton Brand's contract to make it happen. But I wouldn't be surprised if the Sixers softened their stance by the draft. I don't see any team willing to take on Brand's contract at this point.

The Memphis Grizzlies and Minnesota Timberwolves are each sitting on multiple picks in the first round. Word is Memphis is trying to move both the 25th and the 28th selections. Minnesota is trying to move the 23rd pick to avoid the guaranteed salary that selection would receive.

I know the Heat will trade a pick or two. The owner just came out and said they probably aren't going to use all of them. We've got 18th, and then 3 more in the 40's

The 76ers may be leaning towards drafting Georgia Tech forward Derrick Favors with the second overall pick.
Philadelphia is expected to at least consider Ohio State's Evan Turner, who could fall down to the Timberwolves with the fourth pick should the 76ers grab Favors.
ESPN's Chad Ford writes that New Jersey likes Turner, but could select Syracuse's Wesley Johnson, allowing Minnesota, who is enamored with Turner, to take him.

The Hawks have the 24th overall pick in next month's NBA Draft, but they aren't sure they'll find a player ready to help immediately.
Atlanta assistant general manager Dave Pendergraft was initially "excited" about the players that would be available, but after taking a deeper look he's not so sure.

The Cavaliers don't currently own a pick in next month's NBA Draft, but that could change.
Bob Finnan of the News-Herald writes that Cleveland will attempt to buy a first-round pick.
It'll likely take around $3 million to buy one, as last season second rounders were going for $2 million.

Unfortunately, picks in the 40s aren't worth much. Teams aren't lining up to get Sherron Collins and Dexter Pittman. A lot of times the only thing that a team would give up for a second round pick is a future second round pick, or some cash.
