    I would think the first few years of a team's existence would be exempt from being labelled "the worst." It is understandable for a team to lose a lot if it is their first year in the league.

    At least the Cubs are not on the list, and being the original Senators franchise, I'm glad the Twins are not either; the Washington Senators were the worst team in the AL for a long time. "First in war, first in peace and last in the American League"; you can add last in the NL now too. I'm surprised the Royals are not listed.
