    Celtics vs. Lakers

I don't know about you, but I am getting pumped for the 2010 NBA Finals. Two of the most "storied" teams in all of Basketball. The Boston Celtics vs. the Los Angeles Lakers. I am glad it turned out this way. Boston throughout the entire post-season has been playing inspired "team ball," most of which on the defensive end. Boston took out the 1 and 2 seeds easily in the East while LA had some trouble in their first round against OKC, but then gathered themselves into comfortable match-ups winning over the Jazz and the Suns.

It is going to be a tight series, one in which I see going in 7 with the Celtics coming out as the Champions yet again. The Celtic defense will be too much for the Lakers just like in '08.

And yes, I grew up a HUGE Larry Bird fan so I got to go with the Celtics in this one. Man, I am just glad that LeBron and the boring Cavs got smoked by the Celts and that we have a more "desirable" match-up in the Finals. Thoughts?

And, you got to love the classic logos - oh man....

I am pumped for the series. Can the Lakers toughen up this go round with the Celtics? Can Boston keep up their great play? Will they run out of gas? Will the refs allow them to grab jerseys, push, and play dirty defense? I don't mind as long as the Lakers finally learn that the refs are allowing it so they can do it to. Will Fisher be able to contain Rondo? Can Kobe keep up his unreal play? Will Garnett officially go off the deep end and punch himself/somebody else in the face?

Anyone else think the 2-3-2 series setup is dumb? I do

Yes, it struggles. Why don't they keep it like the rest of the playoffs? 2-2-1-1-1?

Boston is going to have to get one of the first 2 games I believe to win this sucker.

I don't like the 2-3-2 format either, I think it actually favors the team with the lesser record by getting a 3 game homestand. Go Lakers!
    Go Cyclones!!

I think they will win game 1 and maybe 2. I see it going like this:

    Game 1: Boston
    2: Boston
    3: LA
    4: LA
    5: Boston
    6: LA
    7: Boston

    Or

    Boston 1 & 2, LA 3, Boston 4 & 5.
Don't confuse hope for a plan.

Kobe will be able to keep it up... I think the difference will be Gasol and Bynum... will they be able to muscle Perkins and Garnett under the hoop... I hope so!

    Re: Celtics vs. Lakers

I see Rondo continuing his stellar play. Fisher is no match for him.

    Game 1- Lakers
    Game 2- Celtics
    Game 3- Celtics
    Game 4- Lakers
    Game 5- Celtics
    Game 6- Lakers
    Game 7- Celtics - (Champs)

Celtics have been sweet on the road....that will have to continue for sure. Got to have either game one or two....heck, get 'em both.

This is going to be a great series.

Um ok? And the Lakers are 42-7 this season at Staples.

No way that the road team goes 5-2 in the series.
