Re: Algerian trouble
I know the WC is a bigger deal in other countries, but they take the game way too seriously. Did this guy really think they were going to win it all? Get over it.

Not to mention, they were essentially playing for a draw today. They are lucky the score wasn't 2-0, 3-0, or even 4-0 with all the shots the USA had. They were never in that game today, I don't understand why they got upset at the end. They were playing not to lose.
also, never trust a bunch of guys with frosty tips

also, never trust a bunch of guys with frosty tips If Algeria was playing for a draw, then their coach needs to be fired as a draw did them no good today - they had to win to have any prayer of advancing.

Re: Algerian trouble
According to eyewitnesses, Saifi, who plays forward for the team, saw the journalist and slapped her. She responded with a solid hit to his mouth, before being taken away by security officials.
...Halimi said she plans to file an official complaint with FIFA.
These two already had some bad-blood between them, so why go after FIFA? It sounds like she got her payback - would like to see that video.

Re: Algerian trouble
I wonder what her article was about that made him so angry.
Either way, the Algerians overreacted after the match was over with their yelling at officials (in their faces) and now this. I couldn't believe they thought they were getting screwed by the refs. Did they miss the disallowed goal? Have a great trip home Algeria..

That seems to rile people up.
