Seneca struggling with new offense
In hindsight, Browns coach Eric Mangini wishes he was clearer about the fact that Jake Delhomme was his No. 1 quarterback.
That's according to Terry Pluto of the Cleveland Plain-Dealer, who writes the Browns were "very pleased" with what they saw from Delhomme in the Spring. It's not like the Browns have other great options at quarterback.
While Delhomme adapted to the Browns system quickly, Seneca Wallace "has had some struggles." That's not a huge surprise as Wallace transitions from a West Coast scheme to one more reliant on vertical passes.
It would be stunning if Delhomme wasn't the team's Week One starter, but Wallace will get his playing time. The Browns have reportedly been "thrilled" with how Wallace and Josh Cribbs have worked together in the Wildcat.
Depending on how "pleased" the Browns stay with Delhomme during the season, the Browns may use the Wildcat more than any team in the league.
