    Vikings maybe interested in JaMarcus Russell

    Let's not banish big JaMarcus Russell to join big Daunte Culpepper in the UFL just yet. Apparently, three of last year's NFL playoff teams are in pursuit of the former Raider and 2007 first overall pick's services.

    According to a report from ESPNNewYork.com's Jets blog, sources have said officials from New York, last year's AFC runner-up, have looked into Russell as a possible backup for Mark Sanchez. The other candidate, who has been in the news a lot lately as well, is Mark Brunell.

    Russell, who's training in Arizona preparing for his next shot with his second NFL team, is also getting interest in that vicinity from the Cardinals. If you're keeping score, that team has already lined up former Brown Derek Anderson as insurance just in case Matt Leinart doesn't pan out.

    The other team that's been mentioned as a strong suitor is Minnesota. The Vikings might have an opening for a No. 3 even if Brett Favre comes back with the potential trade of Sage Rosenfels

    Wouldn't surprise me if the Raiders knocked all the work ethic out of him. The Raiders are such a toxic organization, I could see him being serviceable on the right team.

    I don't know what it is about the Vikings but I just can't stand them. I can't put my finger on it. If they pick-up Jamarcus I hope at some critical point in the season they would be forced to start him. Then let the meltdown begin.
