At this point, he could probably best help by quiting and free up the salary and roster spot.
I think if you look at his history, this has been his way (lame as it may be) to get himself out of a slump and start producing again. It was probably just what he needed, but not necessarily what the team needed. It is already done, so you might as well reap the benefit from it. I think DLee is too much of a professional to harbor a grudge or ill feelings over it.
