The starter for ND gets drafted every year - the starter for UNI never does.
that said, I voted for Montana - but I love everything about Kurt.
My vote goes to . . .
Terry Bradshaw, hands down. The man won 4 Super Bowls, he called his own plays, and he threw the ball downfield instead of the rinky dink and dunk system.
It's going to be Peyton Manning by the time he's done.
As of april 2010. The correct answer is Tim Tebow.
Actually, every one of those guys and more could make a great argument for being the best of all time... and a few more guys could too.
I voted for manning. He has done quite a bit.. with less than montana/young. He is the best raw QB ever. Best mind, best arm, amazing player.
I love Kurt Warner too. How people say "he wouldn't have won all those games and went to those super bowls if he was on a BAD team!" When really, he went to 2 super bowls with the rams- THE RAMS! And then went to a super bowl with the cardinals- THE CARDINALS! Those teams WERE bad! Besides, what team ever made it to the super bowl because of just one guy?
edit: Best college football player of all time? I'd seriously consider voting for tebow ...haha
the rams were good back then, and cardinals, with the best receiving corps out of the entire nfl. you can go 4 deep in their roster and still have all of them start somewhere.
i picked tom brady, he still won the rings with mediocre receivers, and i'm not even thinking about the 16-0 season
Dan Marino is my favorite football player of all time.
He and Brees are the only QBs to ever put up 5,000 passing yards in a season. I was very glad to see Brees got his ring, I'm sure Marino was too.
As for AIKMAN yes there is a decent arguement for him to be on that list, but There is a pretty good arguement too that he isn't better than any of them, on that list or most top 25's. He threw a lot of interceptions. He was just 1000 times smarter than a guy like farve. He didn't throw many when it counted. And measured his risks, but he threw about as many picks as farve did. maybe even more some years. Don't feel like looking it up, but his ratios weren't all that hot some years. He won super bowls, but even that arguement is skewed because he had a ton of talent around him. Like I said. wouldn't have traded him for anyone, because of a lot of things, but best ever, not even close. Still very impressive and still a big fan despite (gasp) mistyping his name, on a Cyclone Message board.
Favre. Even the present his is still one of the top QB's in the league and he is 85.
