I don't think it's quite that simple. You can't get rid of Paul just to clear his salary, which is essentially the end game of the Curry/Chandler deal. It would be fine if Paul wasn't worth the money, but he is.
Guess you could do Orlando and ask for Jameer Nelson (hehehe) and Pietrus back. That way you get cap space and talent back.
The problem with any trade involving Paul is convincing the fans it was a good trade. But, NBA owners sadly don't give a crap about the fans. They care about money.
