Re: White Sox Acquire Edwin Jackson
Sounds like Berkman is about to be a Yankee. I'm afraid that will make the Rays go balls to the wall to respond and get Dunn. If true, it sounds like it's down to the Rays and Sox.

Re: White Sox Acquire Edwin Jackson
Kenny has said this year he's hesistant to trade for a national league pitcher, saying that they don't make the transition so well (perhaps a comment on Peavy) so I have to believe Jackson is desired by someone as a key piece of a trade.

Edwin pitched in the American League and in the Central Division last year and has been in the AL his entire career until this year.

What I should've said is that Edwin has been unsuccessful in the generally less offensive NL so he should probably do worse in th AL. Apparently Coop sees him as a project, but I don't know if this is such a great time for a project. Personally I thought the kid tonight, Harrell looked like he should be able to get it done. Honestly if the Sox get more than 5 wins out of the 5th starter the rest of the way I'll be happy.
