Re: Brett Favre= Worst Captain in NFL
Saw a game a few years back where the sideline reporter asked Favre a question about helping Rodgers learn the ropes, and he basically said learning the position was his (Rodgers') problem. I don't know what anyone else would define as a leader, but he isn't one to me. To me, a leader would show the youngster the ropes, and then still beat his *** for the starting spot.

You're right, Favre was not as bad as usual at not turning it over, but he didn't get the gunslinger title by being safe.. he pretty much ended the Packers season the same way when he first retired. Sooner or later you knew he'd go back to old Favre.. just happened to be in a game where AP struggled as well... and with the game on the line.

1. Brees
2. Favre

2-5 are probably interchangable depending on the opponent each week. NO WAY Rodgers and Favre are that low however. Manning, Rivers, and Warner are interception factories. Favre, Rodgers, and Romo all take care of the ball. minnesota without farve= still playoff contenders
arizona without warner, chargers without rivers, colts without manning= not a chance
favre is no way #2, its easy to pass when you have a balanced team.

Favre MADE Sidney Rice and Bernard Berrian, and he was a bunch of the reason Percy Harvin was as good as he was. Without Favre, they aren't a playoff team, or even close to one last year. They probably drop both Green Bay games with Tarvaris, the 49er game, and maybe the Baltimore game. They're barely .500 without Favre last year.

you fail to realize the game changes when favre is there and when hes not, either way would of gotten them to the playoffs.

TJ kills both the passing game and AP because you can stack 8 in the box and he won't make you pay for it. Stack 8 against Favre, and you just gave up a 50 yard pass over the top. Last year was the first year Sidney Rice has done ANYTHING in a Viking uniform, and Bernard Berrian had arguably the best season of his career. Visanthe Shiancoe had arguably the best season of his career. Percy Harvin was everything and more of what was expected. Favre makes the Vikings 2 dimensional. TJax makes them run and run only. Brett Favre can win a game, Adrian Peterson can win a game, Tarvaris Jackson cannot. Eliminate AP, you have a QB left. One can win a game, one struggles. Vikings aren't a playoff team without Favre. They go 8-8 at best.

No Vikings fan can hate Favre for the season last year. He CARRIED the team to the NFC Title Game. Did he f it up? Yes he did, but he's the sole reason they got there. AP decided to disappear down the stretch, and Favre carried them the rest of the way.

I know a lot of people that made fun of Favre (and how bad he "sucked") every single chance they got.. Now when asked its usually a line similar to "well I always liked him and knew he was good"

Re: Brett Favre= Worst Captain in NFL
As a Vikings fan i have never hated Favre. I've always respected his play, and i can say i'm very jealous of what the Packers had for 17 years.

berrian did just as good when tj was at helm, just no one cared much because it wasnt favre that was throwing at him
shiancoe also did surprisingly well considering how many times they got near the red zone.
not saying TJ is awesome, but any decent quarterback could lead that team to playoff contention, kyle orton could of lead that team to the superbowl.

Berrian does a much better job and is more of a threat downfield (his entire purpose) with Favre at the helm. TJax can't throw a 10 yard slant, let alone a 40 yard post corner.
shiancoe also did surprisingly well considering how many times they got near the red zone.
Most underrated person on the field for the Vikings.

TJax = below average. Orton wouldn't have led them to the Super Bowl either. You need a top quarterback 95% of the time to get to the Super Bowl. Obviously there are teams that just have that awesome of defenses to get there (looking at you Baltimore Ravens) but the Vikings don't have that. Manning, Bress, Favre, Aikman, Elway, Brady, etc. are not decent quarterbacks. They're all excellent quarterbacks. Excellent quarterbacks make Super Bowls MUCH easier to win.
