What state has had the least pro sport sucess?

I'm assuming that these states have to actually have professional sports in them. Also, do you have to have more than one? (i.e. Oregon only has the Trail Blazers, Oklahoma only has the Thunder.) So, with that being the case you have to go with Georgia. The Braves have been bad for about 5 years...obviously better this season...the Falcons have always been lackluster....and the Hawks have been in the playoffs but when they play the "good" competition in the East...they got worked. So Georgia could be a good candidate. Are the Thrashers good in Hockey? (I'm trying to do this without looking anything up.)

New Jersey: Nets have been horrid. The Devils? Are they bad now? Or just not as good?


Ohio would be in the mix only if Lebron wasn't with the Cavs all these past couple of years.....Browns suck, Indians suck, Reds are alright this year but have sucked for about 10 years, Bengals have recently started to get a bit better... and still, the Cavs choked in every playoffs they have been a part of.

I agree. I initially thought that Ohio would win if you exclude LeBron, but the Indians were in the play-off a few years ago (CC, Cliff Lee, etc.) and you mentioned the Reds and Bengals.

Next I thought about ATL. Thrashers have made the playoffs recently but haven't done any damage. Also, you can't forget the recent success of the Hawks. Plus its hard to feel bad for Braves fans.

NJ Devils have been consistently solid, just not winners of anything in a while. Kinda like the Braves and Cavs.

I take my first response to this thread back. I think Washington wins (Loses?). The Seahawks success was awhile back and short lived. Plus the refs took that game away from them which has to sting.

If Missouri didn't have the Cardinals, they'd be number 1. The Rams, Chiefs and Royals have all stunk recently

The Iowa Chops/Stars have never won anything.

Granted all teams have made the playoffs somewhat recently.

energy hasn't been around that long. plus they have finished top in thier division since the program started.

The Energy were in the Finals of the D-League this year but lost the series.

I-Cubs are currently in 1st Place and last season went pretty far into the post-season...(I want to say the semi's.)

Ravens won the SB in 2000. Might as well talk about the Redskins dominance in the 80's.

Although the Ravens have been solid recently making the playoffs in 3/5 years.

Best they ever did was lose back to back Arena bowls in '96 and '97.

Weren't they runner's up for the national title? I realize that is like saying ISU shared the North title in 2004, but still, that's pretty good.
