That's exactly my point. The fact that this is an ISU message board means that people are going to look at Sage more favorably.
In the cold light of day, this wasn't a huge screw job. It was a small screw job. One that happens all the time in the NFL. If Cyclone fans would take a step back, they'd see that.
I want Sage to be a successful NFL starter as much as anyone. But, I'd rather save my outrage for something that is more deserving.

Just my thoughts, but Sage has made a very nice living doing what he does. Yah, I'm sure he gets frustrated, but like has been mentioned he gets a good salary to not get hit and he is a very intelligent person which is what makes him attractive as a backup. Learning the current week's opponent's playbook quickly to give the D a good look in practice is invaluable. I don't think you will likely see him coaching or as a commentator because he has very strong family values and wants to spend time with them after his playing days. The trade actually had alot more to do with what the Giants needed than you might think. Eli is not a strong leader in the locker room and Sage has always been one to over evaluate everything on the field and you could see this from seeing him in the starters ear on the sidelines quite a bit.

I agree. NY is a great spot for him. He's the dedicated number 2 and has a shot to see some action.

Sage had a chance to have a marquee game a couple of seasons ago with Houston - against Indy. Played a great first half and much of the 2nd, but completely handed the game to the Colts late. IMO, the game haunts him and it is tough to be forgotten by other NFL franchises.

I agree. I'd love to make 2 million dollars for doing nothing more than practiceing...thats the life!!
