Re: A Conversation With: Matt Abdelmassih

Nice. I think we are very fortunate to have quality guys like Matt, Cornell and T.J. on staff. They have done ISU very well.
  2. Re: Facebook to build $1.5B datacenter in DSM

Great news for Iowa, now let's hope FB is still relevant five years down the road....

    Re: LJ

Awesome. LJ has come a long way from the end zone out in Vegas. Makes it all worth while to see them come in and turn into men when they leave. LJ just getting started imo.

    Re: Josh Davis

Would be a huge get and fit in nicely with Fred's system.

    Re: Cleanthony Early

Shocker's play in Koch arena, so they are not lacking in funding. Early would have been a great get as he has been outstanding in the tourney.

    Re: Shady Bars of Ames

Plenty of deviant behavior was found at Gilligans.
  7. Re: BLOG: Hoiberg/Minnesota, will he stay or go?

I don't think we have to match. A nice bump, which is both justified and necessary, is all it would take. jmo....
  8. Re: BLOG: Hoiberg/Minnesota, will he stay or go?

Absolutely, yes. Let's just get it done and a PR tomorrow afternoon so we don't have to go through the weekend. I'd like to enjoy my Easter weekend in peace...
  9. Re: BLOG: Hoiberg/Minnesota, will he stay or go?

Rumor is Minny offering 5 year 12.5m deal. So double what we are paying. Mr. Stark where are you.....

Re: NBA Draft - Will Clyburn

In retrospect, it's a shame we only had Will for one year. It may take a year or two, but I think Will sticks in the league. Will > Wes Johnson.

    Re: They better be committed

I could see Fred leaving if he was satisfied with what he has accomplished in Ames. I don't think he is satisfied.

    Re: McGee vs Willoughby

Love them both and can't pick one over the other. I will say this about Tyrus, he doesn't get enough credit for his rebounding ability.
  14. Re: What we are losing, returning, and adding next season

Bottom line is that this is a huge off season for us. Everybody will have to work hard and get better. If they do I'm confident we will be a good team come tourney time and that is all that matters.

Re: Yeah Larry! Give em' hell!

The past is gone but one thing is for certain; Larry is a great coach. I heard Larry on a radio interview about 6 weeks ago and the topic of his player's came up. He said when Wes announced he was...
  16. Re: Hoiberg's keys to beating Notre Dame

Great stuff. Love the attitude of our guys. We need to work through Will and see what happens. Could be elite...

    Re: 1970's stadium cups

I just lost my last one the weekend before the Monday KU game. Third from the left. Probably originated during the 86-87 basketball season. It was like losing a dog. I felt like Tom Hanks when he...
  18. Re: Upsets you think could very likely happen that aren't being discussed by 'experts

I have the Grizz advancing to the sweet 16 in one of my pools. I have them beating Cal to advance. Not likely to happen, but they have a very good back court and think they can hang with the Cuse to...
  19. Re: Poor 3 point shooting at the Sprint Center

Good topic, one I've been pondering the last 48 hours. I wonder about the tightness of the rims when playing in a facility that does not host basketball for a full season. Do they bring in brand new...

Re: How would you rank our last 6 coaches?

    1) LE - Don't care who's players he had, he got them to perform and took us where we have never been before.

    2) Johnny - For all the obvious plus he was the best post game interview of all time....
