A lot of ignorance in this thread. Elliot already developed a relationship with Lazard so of course he'll be the lead recruiter for him at Notre Dame. Coaches, especially assistants, switch programs...
-
How was he being a homer exactly? He seemed to know more about Iowa than ISU but that's not atypical for a player in Big Ten country. I think its unfair to rope a kid in with some of those mouth...
-
Most schools will stop recruiting a kid if he requests. I'm guessing he hasn't done this because he still enjoys being recruited despite the fact that the chances of him going to Iowa are about as...

Cornell is pretty much a top 100 lock for when the 2015 rankings come out. I second the poster who said that stars aren't worthless, but they're far from the end-all-be-all.
-
2 and 3 he already does well. 2 is his biggest strength actually. He struggled when I saw him last year taking care of the ball but I imagine that has to do with being one of the only good players on...
-
Thanks for the information, but I don't put a whole lot of stock on those lists. 4* guys like Moore have a bunch of schools recruiting them and arbitrarily leave schools off all the time at those...
-
I didn't say he wasn't, just that Georges's forte is in the post while Moore is more perimeter oriented. Niang is still a better perimeter (though possibly not shooter), but Moore still spends a lot...
-
Agreed. Imagine Georges Niang with 2 more inches of height and an extra 20 pounds. I think Moore might be more perimeter orientated than Niang, though, whose specialty is really in the paint.

Iowa State has contacted Carter's AAU coach per Adam Zagoria. Carter led Rutgers in scoring last year as a sophomore with 15 ppg. My guess is that he'd have a great chance to come in and start next...

Here's a scouting report I saw for Quadri Moore. Credit to Chad Brendel of a Cincinnati site.
" It is hard to miss Quadri Moore when you walk into the gym as the 6-foot-9 big man has a huge frame....

How old are the 3 Hoiberg boys? Am I wrong to assume they'll be big time ball players?
-
It's not that Fred isn't recruiting post players, he just has yet to land one. I think he'd rather go JUCO than get a Jordan Railey or Eric McKnight. For 2014, the posts we seem to have a realistic...

The 2 and 3 are more or less interchangeable in ISU's system.
-
Not meaning to sound arrogant, so sorry if it came across that way. All I'm saying is the blind hatred and refusal to have any sort of logical discussion about it is annoying. I'm not sure why its so...
-
Stupid thread. Both fanbases are, and should be, happy with the guy they have. ISU fans who think Iowa isn't getting better under Fran and won't be able to hold ISU's jock are just as annoying as...
-
Damn. I'm really excited for Monte to be a 4 year starter and be the next great ISU point guard!
-
Honestly, Niang's junior or senior seasons we'll have opportunities to go far assuming the recruiting keeps up the same pace.
-
And that clearly won't get better in the next three seasons...

By conference play, i see this as the main lineup:
G- Morris
G- Thomas
G- Dorsey-Walker
F- Ejim
F- Niang
Bench:
-
Out on Thomas. Nantz and Kellogg agreed.
