    Lisa Bluder Retires

I don't see Bluder as a legend. She is a good coach who ran a successful program, but to me "legend" status implies national championships and someone who is automatically in the running for the top recruits in the country. Bluder only won two B1G regular season championships.

do's and don'ts of the best man's wedding speech

Be honest. If you're the Best Man, there should be some love and respect there. Communicate that.

    Iowa State Uniform Discussions

I could actually see those as an alternate uniform. My favorite all-time is the Ames-Trice throw-backs. Current "new" uniforms are definitely a "meh." Like most on here, I like the darker shades. Ever notice teams like USC don't seem to have these problems?

    Farmageddon Hypothetical

There's never going to be a Farmageddon game where they don't show combines and cornfield, regardless the name you give it. I like the idea of maintaining the streak but it may not be feasible in today's world.

    Acreage tips from the Fanatics

You'll eventually come up with something that works for you, but a couple of things I might consider would be renting the horse facilities and pasture out if you don't currently have horses. Horse people being horse people. you'd want a strong lease and stay ahead on the rent. For snow removal...

When do you think you will buy a 100% pure electric vehicle?

Would seem to imply they're different groups of drivers.

When do you think you will buy a 100% pure electric vehicle?

I don't believe the public will accept a robot car running amuck and killing people, even if it's a statistical anomoly.

When do you think you will buy a 100% pure electric vehicle?

Nearly everyone uses their vehicle for occasional long trips. including going out-of-state. With Tesla's system, such trips are more practical than the public systems, but either way some planning ahead is a good idea and there is a real risk of being stranded. Comparatively, in most parts of...

"Get off my lawn!" music thread

I agree over-all and am a big Tedeschi-Trucks fan, but I take exception on the Muskrat Love. I think it expressed the idea that people may be "unimportant" to the rest of the world, but their life and relationships are a big deal to them. It's kind of like the movie "Big Fish."

"Get off my lawn!" music thread

I would say mid-1980s. New wave and punk came along, Southern rock rode off into the sunset, and music like that of the '60s and '70s could only be heard on oldies stations. If you look at the history of music, other than pop songs, it's all about going back and reworking stuff from the past...

There is no requirement to listen except as issued by family members. No one in my family is a fan.

Taylor Swift - Tortured Poets Department

Probably no worse than the rest of the pop music out there. It all sounds the same to me.

I doubt she cares what any of us think. If so I can't imagine why.

It associates Purdy with John Deere and the tractor brand cache transfers over to their lawn mowers, which is a lot more consumers.

    Tyrese Hunter Enters Portal Again

If a kid has the potential to play professionally, even in Europe, college years should be seen primarily as an opportunity to learn their craft, improve their skills. A good investment there can pay big down the line. Maybe not for guys like Halliburton and Lebron, but for more average NBA players.

    Tyrese Hunter Enters Portal Again

If you leave to go to the most hated school in the conference, fans are almost obligated to boo you. Deal with it.

    Tyrese Hunter Enters Portal Again

The two aren't really comparable. Hunter left when he was believed to be the centerpiece of the team. Omaha was having difficulty getting on the floor. One left for money, the other left for playing time. It's possible Hunter left believing Tamin would take his starting spot, but I doubt it. His...

    What Sports Do You Like?

I did like it better when there was some relationship to showroom cars. There are a really good group of drivers now: Larson, Chastain, William Byron, Blaney, etc. NASCAR seems determined to ruin the sport. Who was crying out for cars with single lugnuts and the infamous toelink? And then...
