    Yeah, if it's a simple scoop, short hopping and off line throws are an entire different ballgame. You probably didn't have 200lb plus players running a 4.5 at you either when you played first.

    I actually played short in high school and college and could hit a top of about 85 and probably around 80 on normal throw. I wasn't anywhere near major league caliber. You guys think pros onky throw 80-85? Try 90-95, it's not as easy as your high school baseball glory days.

    It's too small of a sample size right now so you are probably right. If Busch keeps these numbers up though he's right in line with Alonsos OPS numbers. I'd rather have those numbers and cheap than pay 25 million a year.

    Isn't Busch under team control until 2027? He's a better overall hitter than Alonso and will be much cheaper. I'd rather spend on pitching than pay Alonso 25 million a year.

    Go back and look at a draft 3-4 years ago and tell me how many guys you've actually heard of or on NFL rosters right now in rounds 5-7. I get your point that it's all about him doing what he needs to do once he gets to NFL camp, but I'm just stating the facts that the odds aren't on his side...

    His odds of making it in the NFL are going down with every pick that goes by. Once you get into rounds 5-7 its full of guys who never end up sniffing an NFL roster.

    Nope, born and raised in Iowa so I've seen the rivalry for over 40 years now. It's innocent ribbing and being civil in my circles. On here it's nastiness and vitriol dialed up to 10 on most any Iowa subject.
