K-State game in 2025 in Ireland (CONFIRMED)

I went with Confirmed as ***OFFICIAL*** seemed presumptuous. But must credit cyIclSoneU for breaking the news a week early, folks.

K-State game in 2025 in Ireland (CONFIRMED)

Blum all but confirmed on the Sunday pod that we will be getting the official word about Ireland this week. Message board rumors win again.

K-State game in 2025 in Ireland (CONFIRMED)

Looks like DSM-ORD-DUB is in the mid 900s for the time of year around this game in 2024. Maybe there will be a sale at some point but you’re right that the flights are going to cost near 1k. People should open a new credit card now with a transferable points sign up bonus

K-State game in 2025 in Ireland (CONFIRMED)

I bet they have actual information over there.

K-State game in 2025 in Ireland (CONFIRMED)

It’s both; the Irish side is trying to drive tourism. Their website boasts about last year’s game being worth $150 million to the Ireland economy. From this perspective, we make more sense: Iowa has the highest proportion of Irish ancestry of any Big 12 state. Kansas isn’t 2nd (that would be...

K-State game in 2025 in Ireland (CONFIRMED)

It would be different from the more recent games involving Nebraska, Notre Dame, and Florida State. At the same time, though, I’m not sure which Big 12 fanbases could be relied on to travel better than ISU and KSU. If they want a Big 12 game for this, Farmageddon makes as much sense as any could.

Pretty common in professional sports too.

K-State game in 2025 in Ireland (CONFIRMED)

Nebraska vs. Illinois (2022) and Notre Dame vs. Navy (2023) have been in this slot. Georgia Tech is playing Florida State in Ireland this year. But they don't have a game announced yet for 2025. After two of the three games have been B1G and ACC conference games, it makes sense that a Big 12...

K-State game in 2025 in Ireland (CONFIRMED)

K-State boards are picking up on a rumor that Kansas State vs. Iowa State has been selected as the season opening game in Ireland in 2025. (It would mean K-State would lose a home game.) I think a Week 0 game would be on August 23, 2025, for the serious planners-ahead. Anybody heard anything...

J'Vonne Hadley (Curtis Jones' cousin) to have zoom meetings with Iowa State & MSU this week

I guess we know these two schools have bigger money guns than us:

J'Vonne Hadley (Curtis Jones' cousin) to have zoom meetings with Iowa State & MSU this week

"Lipsey and Momcilovic are role players easily replaced by transfers" is an all time dumb take.

    We Will Collective contributor numbers

Argue about football vs. basketball all you want but it is a fact that Big East schools have a competitive advantage in hoops because their NIL cannons are all pointing in the same direction. The relative decrease (if any) in contributions that they suffer by not having a football team is much...

J'Vonne Hadley (Curtis Jones' cousin) to have zoom meetings with Iowa State & MSU this week

I don’t think this ends with Kyle + Jefferson filling out the spots. I’ll guess that the staff wants one of them and then will keep that last spot for a late transfer now that Hadley isn’t using it. A big who can shoot would be a nice add. But maybe they see Chatfield in that role.

I’ll let the reporters report. Sometimes people know things though. You can return to your “dumb” reactions to things you don’t like

    Iowa State Transfer/Recruiting Class 2024

SLU also could be the next Creighton promotion to the Big East with a little run here. Schertz could be their McDermott.

He gone. On to the next portal addition. Gotta buy some more Ames Lager to get a future Hadley.

#1 defense per Kenpom as well for the season. #52 offense.

    Realignment Megathread (All The Moves)

Duke is in a different world than Cal or Stanford. Almost no one really cares about athletics in Berkeley or Palo Alto. On the other hand, basketball is religion in Durham. That administration will not let the sport die on the vine. If the ACC implodes and Duke doesn't get a seat in the Big Ten...

    Well, it's finally over

This is the heads I win, tails you lose of the Clark-viewership discussion. If ratings drop from 2022, it's because Clark is gone. If ratings are up from 2022, it's because Clark set a higher floor. Either way, it's Clark all the way down! Not a productive way to have a conversation IMO. I am...

    Well, it's finally over

That's what I said though. None of this is jealousy. It's just facts that Clark is not the sole reason for WBB's growth. 2022 - Final Four averaged 3.5M viewers, which was a record at the time 2024 - Iowa vs. UConn averaged 14M, South Carolina vs. NC State averaged 7M I'm not disputing that...
