I mean he was projected top 10. I am guessing he is pissed he fell that far.

go back and watch his college highlights. They are littered with Mike Evans catching 50/50 balls.

I think Odunze is better than any best receiver out of LSU or Michigan this year.

    ***2024 Minnesota Vikings***

Only scary part about Penix is how good Odunze is. ie Johnny Manziel at A&M with Mike Evans. Mike Evans made Johnny look really good on a lot of occasions which made teams overvalue the QB vs how good Mike Evans really was.

Not to mention the fact that he has 1000 or better snaps in his college career. I think this is something that made Brock Purdy such a great QB early in the pros too. Reps matter.

    ***2024 Minnesota Vikings***

Ain't no way they are going to make the Falcons swap picks. If anything they will make Atlanta Forfeit their first rounder, but they won't help the Vikings on the way other than everyone above them sliding up a spot.

    Tyrese Haliburton goes for Gold

Hali can spread the floor off ball in a huge way, and will look to get guys like Steph, LeBron, etc heavily involved while being super unselfish in doing so.

Former UNI guard Nate Heise taking visit to Ames Monday (committed)

Plus a nice middy off of screens which was needed against the heavy drop coverage that killed us against Illinois.

    Illinois matchup

Also has anyone asked who Domask will be in charge of guarding for Iowa State? He doesn't have quick enough feet for Tamin or Gilbert. Maybe Milan? But Milan will give him a taste of his own booty ball standing 6'8". No way is he guarding Tre King.

    Illinois matchup

That is the thing. We are going to send that double to the block every possession. That is our base defense. It is a hard trap to the sideline though. Lipsey will not allow Domask to dribble middle at all forcing to the help on the baseline.

    Illinois matchup

I watched those Morehead State double teams. Domask won't just be able to dribble away from our double teams. we take that middle dribble away and the baseline defender actually does something vs. standing in no mans land on the baseline.

Guess that means Shannon (Niang) is going to pick up 3 awful foul calls in the first half and his 4th foul call early in the second.

I do think BYU posed more issues for us by having big men facilitate from the top of the key though too. I think Illinois relies on guards to initiate offense which should play a bit to our strengths.

    Illinois matchup

I'm not as concerned on the rebound front. Our rate isn't fantastic, but we play some of the better offensive rebounding teams in the country ie Houston prior to injuries. I think you also have to look at rate vs sheer number of offensive boards. Illini put up probably like 10-15 extra shots a...

    Illinois matchup

I think the game will come down to turnover rate in a huge way. Illini do not force turnovers so I don't see them getting to play in transition very often. Over under at 16 turnovers. We force more than that we win. If we force under that we probably lose this one.

    Momcilovic to lottery pick

and Milan shot 36% with a huge slump in the middle. I didn't say anything about Milan being a lotto pick. A less athletic Grady was what I called him. McDermott has had a huge NBA career by knocking down 3s at a high clip. I see Milan being a floor stretcher more than a wing slasher at the next...
