    Lasik vision correction

Went with LasikPlus in Overland Park, Kansas in 2005. It was about 1700 an eye for the lifetime with the specs of my eyes. Gave the wife a 10% discount and her specs weren't as bad as mine, so hers came out to about $1200 an eye. And yes, it was the best money I've ever spent in my entire life.

    2019 Coaching Carousel

Yes, you dominated Big East football for quite a while. The Big12 is big boy football, week in and week out, particularly now with the Round Robin scheduling. I think Holgerson was decent, but those Big East expectations in a Big12 world are going to hamstring a guy, especially if the power...

    Tre Jackson commits

Looks like a tremendous shooter with a wicked jab-step and drive or pull-up. Great ball handler and passer. I guess I don't really care how he is ranked, because he strikes me as one of the guys we would see at K-State where I end up saying "Why haven't I heard of him, because this guy can...

    Help me buy a TV

My 120" in my basement home theater that was a 24' x 24' room was just fine. Two banks of seats at 15' and 20' got rave reviews from friends and family.

    How often do ya'll vacuum?

A thorough job on everything including the stairs about once a month with the Dyson (usually when we are having people over) and a quick once over with the cheap one in the main areas once a week.

    Favorite board games!

I know what you mean. You know, it's weird. Tens years ago Settlers was an eye opener, because it was so different from what we think about as a "board game." I know back then I was like, "Wow, that's much more fun than Monopoly or Sorry." It's odd to think that in an era dominated by video...

    Favorite board games!

We play Lords of Waterdeep quite a bit and the kids love Legendary Marvel. We've been on a binge of Shadowrun:Crossfire the last couple months.

    Favorite board games!

It's "Deadliest Catch" the game. Everyone gives you that look the first time... and then say, "Ooh, let's play that again."

    Favorite board games!

Six board games WAY better than Monopoly, Sorry and Clue: Ticket to Ride - connect cities and create train routes against other age of steam magnates Forbidden Island - team of Indiana Jones type adventurers trying to get the artifacts before the islands sinks King of Tokyo - take command...

    Cryptocurrency

All I know is that my ne'er-do-well brother in law was going on and on about it at a Thanksgiving gathering back in 2012 (2011?) maybe or may have been Christmas. Anyway, he just insisted that I look into this Bitcoin electronic currency, and an even newer one Litecoin. He was kind of jackwagon...

    Jacob Park to transfer

We've got a pretty good flag league down here in the K.C. area, even has a few guys who played JUCO or small college. He should give me a call. All of us have kids too, so that will work on the family side.

BLUM: Decisions that shaped Cyclone Football's rise

Excellent piece by Blum. It's good to know that others think of these fateful moments in Cyclone history like I do. There are some real doozies which changed the course of history over the years. Great stuff, Brent.

    Keeping Campbell

When his departure happens, it's going to be a "don't be bitter it came to an end, be grateful that the good times happened" kind of situation. Enjoy the ride until that day comes, knowing that his regime will have taken us at least one step forward to being a middle of the pack Big12 program...

    Kansas

There is a base of old Kansas City money that would rather not be ashamed of KU football. A number of them I know are retired attorneys, business owners and doctors. It's a crowd with big money with attachments to Kansas who revel in KU basketball, certainly. I think a chief motivation, maybe...

    Kansas

I know we've been upset about our program and have been through hard times, but this is truly the Dark Ages for Kansas football fans. This latest incarnation of the Big12 with the 9 game round robin has just been a meat grinder for all the have-not programs (as we well know), but for them it's...

    New Goals for the Season

Get to a bowl game. Any bowl game. Start the hype machine for 2018 early. All signs point to 2018 as the breakout year.

Very, VERY Confusing Play Calling Tonight

Our OL was clearly overmatched and they got in Park's head. Our margin for error is just too thin to be that poor in execution when physically outmanned. The bright side is that we will win some more games if the defense plays that well the rest of the year and keeps improving. I think the...

    VIDEO: JaQuan Bailey unsportsmanlike penalty

    I'm shocked...shocked. Against Texas? Who'da thunk it.
